Writing Seminar for Criminal Justice
Develop an essay explaining two topics in the criminal justice field in which you maybe interested in researching and why. What three types of questions as a researcher can you ask relevant to your possible topic(s)? Please review various scholarly journals and text to assist you in developing a scholarly topic. Do not develop topics such as, “The Federal Bureau of Investigations” or “Police Brutality” without stating in the title what it is about these topics that is worthy of researching.
Learning Objectives: After reading these chapters students should be able to:
Explain why research is done.
Understand the Conventions of Academic Writing.
Understand what plagiarism is.
Understand the three kinds of questions researchers ask.
