Discussion 1. Medications
Use the questions to organize your writing. The questions should incorporate the Beers Criteria in the discussion. A reference is necessary for your post.
Question 1. Medication & Beers Criteria
Select a specific drug that is listed on the Beers Criteria.
1. Discuss the purpose of the drug, mechanism of action, adverse reactions especially for the older adult.
2. Discuss alternatives that would be safer than this medication. Remember to include in the discussion something about cost and adherence to taking the medication.
