Education law has stimulated much debated over the years. In fact, legal entanglements are common that school districts and colleges (across the country) now have legal teams to offer guidance and defense (when issues arise.

For this assignment, you will review two real legal cases that occurred in the United States. As a class, view both videos (below) and discuss (in our Discussion Board) your positions either for or against based on your understanding of the law (to date). Argue positions using upper level arguments that are both sound and rationale. Back your positions with examples, opposed to just your opionion. It is vital that you offer support for your assertions in this week’s discussion.

NOTE: Avoid researching the outcomes of either case until the discussion has at least hit the 5th day of discussion (Friday). After Friday, all students can research the outcomes of the cases and comment on whether or not you agree with the Supreme Court findings and the rationales put forth by the court.

Enjoy the process. Go to the Discussion Board to discuss both scenarios.
