Operations Management is both a challenge and a rewarding area of function in business. This course has provided me with additional knowledge of maximizing resources in service, product, and people.
The major takeaway points for me are the need to Manage Process Improvement and Manage Inventory and Quality Assurance. As I reflect on this course and the integration of faith, I can not help but think of Joseph.
Joseph was the beloved son of twelve brothers who the Lord blessed with the ability to interpret dreams, but that is not where is gifts end. Later in life, Joseph made it all the way to the palace and became a trusted worker of Pharaoh. He provide himself by interpreting the dreams of the Pharaoh but also in using the wisdom of management to aid the kingdom and surrounding cities in the mist of a phapmon.

Operations Management is an important concept of business that is sometimes overlooked or not properly understood. I know personally, I did not have a complete understanding of what operations management is and how it affects a business. Through this course and carefully reading the Stevenson,Operations Management, textbook I have been able to gain a better understanding of the role operations management plays in the world of business and how I can integrate this knowledge in my faith and learning. One aspect I can integrate into my life is quality management. Stevenson tell us that quality has many dimensions and we must ensure that we must strive to provide those nine dimensions in our products or service (Stevenson, 2018, p. 378). Quality management can be used in our line of work, but it can also be used in our faith as well. Though the quality of our works does not save us, it is important that we give God the best we have and the best we can offer. That is what quality is giving your absolute best and it is very important that we understand the importance of quality and how to manage and maintain that quality in our faith and our professional lives. I think a good verse to keep in mind when dealing with quality management is Colossians 3:17 which says, And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (ESV). We must do everything in the name of the Lord, which should make us strive to do our best in all that we do. We should ensure the quality of all that we do by giving our absolute best.
