3-You are the therapist. Your client identifies with his/her own biological sex and has always identified as heterosexual. Your client is an intimate relationship with a transgender person. This type of relationship is the first for your client. Your client fell in love with this transgender person as a person, not as a gender. Your client is nervous about bringing her/her person to your clients family events as some in the family are religious and may say something about this union. Most people in the family believe love is love. How would you counsel your client?
