Dissertation Topic: The effects of Cloud Computing Risk, on the security and future directions on Data Migration to deliver a service over a network.
Cloud computing is a form of internet-based computing that avails shared processing resources and data to various devices that are on-demand over the internet. There are various risks that are associated with cloud computing, these risks include aspects such as compliance violations, identity theft, malware infection and data breaches, and diminished customer trust and potential loss in revenue (Myeonggil, 2019). It this essay, we shall be looking into how cloud computing risks affect the security and the future directions of data migration in location.
Due to risks associated to cloud computing aspects such as loss of data occurs. It is seen that cloud computing involves control from the customer to the service provider. Here, the users are given more time and financial resources to focus on; there is always the risk that confidential data will find its way into unauthorized hands (Myeonggil, 2019). Thus, when the cloud computing security is breached, cyber criminals could gain access to the intellectual property. Additionally, malware infection is a cloud computing risk affecting the security and the future directions of data migration in location Chang,H. (2015). It is seen to high large data volume stored in cloud; it is seen to need an internet connection to store them. Therefore, any person using cloud services is at a potential risk of cyber-attacks (Myeonggil, 2019). The increasingly common threat is the Denial of Service which is seen to the servers being crashed in the long run.
Moreover, another cloud computing risk is the legal or compliance issues. This affects the security and the future directions of data migration. Today, there is an increasing need to ensure that data is protected. This is important in order to stay compliant, which is currently a difficult aspect. With the ease of access of data in cloud computing, it is seen to be more difficult to track the individuals who have access to this information (Myeonggil, 2019). Hence, the paper will present the securities and recommendations that will aid in safeguarding the cloud computing environments from multiple challenges elaborated above.

CHAPTER 1 Outline
Cloud computing is considered to transform the manner in which information technology tends to be managed as well as consumed, leading to cost efficiencies that are improved, innovation which is accelerated, increased marketing speed in addition to the capability of scaling applications that are on demand. Nevertheless, as the cloud computing shape is emerging as well as developing drastically both within reality as well as conceptually, privacy in addition to security matters still poses challenges that are considered to be significant. The security risks involved in the cloud computing in data migration include; the user might not be in a position to control their given data as well as the performance of their applications that they might require, in addition the users may not have the capability of auditing or changing the policies as well as the processes under which they are supposed to work. Various segments of an application may be in various places within the cloud which might lead to an impact which is adverse on the applications performance (Patrignani, et.al, 2016).
Trying to comply with regulations a time might be complicated more so if it concerns issues on cross-border, additionally, it is supposed to be put into consideration that regulations are supposed to be developed taking all cloud computing aspects into account. The second risk is the possibility of cloud consumers losing their general data through having the data locked into formats that are proprietary in addition they might also loose the control over their given data. The main reason for this is because the monitoring tools on the one using the data or who has the ability to view the data tend not to be offered to the consumers of cloud computing. There, the loss of data is considered to be a possible risk within some various deployments (Sharma, et.al, 2017).
A third risk is that it might not be easy to have service level agreements that are tailor made in relation to the particular necessities of an enterprise. The compensation provided because of a downtime might be inadequate in addition the service level agreements have high probabilities of not covering the damages that are concomitant. It considered to be making sense in balancing the expense of guaranteeing uptime which is internal against the benefits of choosing the cloud. There is also the risk of malware infections this is mainly because of data which is in massive volumes being stored on the cloud. It also needs an internet connection in storing the data therefore anyone who is utilizing cloud services is at risk of encountering cyber-attacks (Tchernykh, et.al, 2019).
There is also the security issue of making sure that there is availability of data integrity which involves its storage, transfer as well as retrieval- which basically indicates that it gets to change only when responding to transactions that are authorized. The existing challenge is that there is no standard that is common that has been put in place to ensure the integrity of data. Cloud migration is considered to be among the most point which is conversed where cloud managers tend to encounter extreme challenges during migration of data from the server of a company to another server which creates cloud somewhere else (Elzamly, et.al, 2019).
Cloud tends to behave same as an interface via which companies are capable of accessing data within a virtual environment. Therefore, smooth functioning of the cloud basically relies on how appropriately groomed as well as knowledgeable the providers of cloud are within this region. Additionally, if migration of data is not carried out systematically as well as appropriately, it is capable of causing problems in relation to data as well as cloud security of the assets of an organization which basically include data. This makes it essential to hire cloud providers who have experience which is sound in relation to the field so that managing the cloud can be done efficiently as well as effectively (Zelenkov, 2016).
