Spreadsheets are an interactive way for students to discover relationships or trends within certain data. The basic functions included with spreadsheets are performing calculations, sorting data, selecting data, and creating graphs and charts. Spreadsheets can be created for many different reasons. To meet the ISTE ENTS students can use spreadsheets to apply their existing knowledge and to process data to create charts or graphs. That data can then be analyzed to make necessary conclusions. Spreadsheets help students to develop an understanding of technology concepts as well as mathematics and other disciplines. For simply learning in the classroom, spreadsheets can be used to create simulations to manipulate any variables to possible discover and rules/laws, they can be used to calculate and plot any relationships between data, and they can be used to solve problems. The NTeQ lesson for spreadsheets involves matching the objective to computer functions, research and analysis, planning computer activities, and assessments.
The objectives to spreadsheet functions involves the manipulation of numbers such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, etc., creating charts and graphs, sorting and filtering information, and discriminating/interpreting the data. When working with students on how to create and use a spreadsheet there are a few things they must do. They must identify the problem and identify how they are going to problem solve. They will then organize the data and plan which data manipulation is needed. Then teacher will describe how the students should manipulate the data. There are many ways the results can be presented and those are through graphs or charts, written reports, oral presentations, slideshows, posters, magazines, books, etc. The teacher will assess the students knowledge by testing their ability to perform all of the skills mentioned above.

The Florida Department of Education works hand in hand with educators, parents, and any other individual involved in the school system to make the schools a better place for any and every student. They also ensure that every student is taken care of in any way necessary. This includes students with disabilities. This website is useful because it gives educators, as well as parents, information that can be very important to them.

No Child Left Behind Act of 2002 allowed for children in schools to receive a better education by improving the education system. They prioritize for high quality educators to ensure that students are receiving the bets education that they can give. This can relate to this course because we want to give our students and our children the best education they can, including student with disabilities. We want our children/students to thrive in schools and for them to be given the necessary resources to do so.
