In this assignment, you will write about the visual image of the city.
Choose a city, It can be any city. You will need to use photographs to capture the image of your chosen city.
Select the photographs which represent the visual character of your chosen place e.g. landmarks, nodes edges etc. Identify them in terms of Lynchs five visual elements of the city.
The essay should include the following information:
The objective of the study
Short Introduction which can include:
History (a paragraph or two).
Location, the Street Pattern
Describe the five visual elements of the city as described by Kevin Lynch with captioned photographs.
Conclusion Do your photographs represent the visual image of the city in the minds of its residents and visitors?
