Go to the Voice of America website and select one current event news brief from this week.
Compose a brief summary of the article so that your audience is aware of who the article involves, what happened, where the event took place, how the event affected others (including yourself), and when the article or event took place.
Compose a brief response, perhaps by developing how the event affected others (including yourself). In other words, offer an opinion concerning what you read that illustrates your critical thinking concerning the material.
Select 3-5 vocabulary words from the article. Define these words, and cut and paste the passage that illustrates the term.
Offer a brief citation for the article.
