Human migration from place to place or from society to society is as old as our species. Post a story involving race or immigration in the news. Do you think better education about cultural differences might make a difference in situations such as the one in your story? Why do you think immigrants are sometime portrayed as virtuous (hard-working, hopeful, ambitious) and sometimes as degenerate (lazy, criminal,

Immigrants such as Scientist Albert Einstein or Anthropologist Franz Boas have been famous contributors to the USA and our culture and history. Do a bit of research and identify a more recent immigrant who became a US citizen and made important contributions to some aspect of US culture.
