I have identified the following academic resources and/or strategies that can be applied to success in the nursing practice in general or my specialty in particular.

Academic Resource/Strategy 1
Walden library:
The use of Walden Library will provide me with free access to journals, newspapers and peer review articles that will help me academically during my MSN program. Peer review articles and journals are scholarly papers, researches and ideas that are written by experts in the medical field and also have gone through the proper scrutiny of experts in the same field. These are articles and journals that have been scrutinized and have answers to many research questions. Peer review articles information is accurate and reliable. I will use this information during my MSN program to develop myself with the skills and knowledge that I need to be able to efficiently assess my patients, diagnose and treat them resulting to better patient outcome (Kelly, Sadeghieh, & Adeli, K. 2014).

Walden university academic skills center:
Regardless the fact that the MSN program is completely an online based, Walden university has provided a great online platform where students can learn and increase their class performances. I plan to always utilize the online tutoring platform as my academic resource such as help with writing assignments, understanding my assignments, developing my critical and my problem-solving skills. The resources on the success strategies will always be useful to me. I plan to always go back and read those resources to refresh myself on the ways to decrease stress and management my time in order to succeed in my MSN program (Walden, 2019).

Online resources such as Nursing made incredibly easy website and YouTube videos. The nursing made incredibly easy website is focused on simplifying complex concept in nursing. This is a website I just have discovered and I will be using it often during my MSN program as my academic resources. It contains academic journals that simplifies various topics in nursing giving you a clearer understanding of any given topic. It also gives you practical lessons and guidelines in carrying out various nursing procedures such as conducting a physical assessment. YouTube contains videos teaching various topics in nursing that helps one understand a particular nursing topic better. I used it during my BSN program to help me understand some topics that needed further explanations and I plan using it again for my MSN program. I can listen to lessons on YouTube while doing my chores around the house. I plan to use this website and YouTube videos as supplements to my Text books to help me learn my course content better that will enhance my success in the MSN program.

Houston Area Nurse Practitioners (HANP):
This organization is local for me since I live in Houston. This organization is committed to providing professional support, networking and education to nurse practitioners in the Houston area. Belonging to this organization will help me stay connected to other Nurse practitioners in Houston areas. They are also prepared to answer any questions that I may have in my new role as a nurse practitioner. They will help me to stay up to date with legislations concerning nurse practitioners. Building a strong network with other nurse practitioners in Houston area will assist me with job search. This organization has jobs links posted on their website for job seekers which I will also take an advantage of (Houston Area Nurse Practitioner 2019).
Professional Resource/Strategy
American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA):
This organization is specifically related to my field as I plan to specialize in mental health NP. This organization focuses on promotion of health, prevention of mental health illness, the care and treatment of people with mental health problems. As a MHNP, I will build a strong network with other members of the group for job connection, and for new information and knowledge regarding best nursing practices. I can also collaborate with other members of the group to assess and address the need and challenges faced by people suffering from mental health issues. This organization provides mental health nursing continuous education for its members which I can also l benefit from (America Psychiatric Association 2019).

National Association of Nigeria Nurses in North America (NANNNA):
This is a great association which I am already a member. This association is committed to improving the health of Nigerians both in Nigeria and in North America. They have embarked in various charitable missions to Nigeria, providing free healthcare services to the people. They collaborate with other healthcare team members such as doctors and pharmacists to assess, diagnose and treat various illness. As a Nigerian, I am able to relate with their vision which they are committed to and I am willing to be part of accomplishing that vision. As a member of this organization, l have created a great forum for interaction with other Nigerian nurses. They will serve as my professional support while in school and upon graduation. I can go to members who have gone through similar path as me for professional advice and counseling. I will network with other nurses for better jobs opportunities. I will also be grateful to have an opportunity to serve my country of birth, Nigeria by utilizing the skills and knowledge gained from My MSN program to change peoples lives and in turn expanding my knowledge and career (National Association of Nigeria Nurses in North America 2019).
