– Do Not use passive verbs (i.e., is, was, etc.) whenever possible. Instead, deploy active verbs to craft clear, energetic statements.
Do Not use split infinitives, such as to quickly run . . . Instead, go with to run quickly
Do Not use generalizations and sweeping statements, like everyone loves xxx plz Provide evidence when making strong claims.
Do Not use really, a lot, totally, awesome, incredible, unbelievable, and other vague or hyperbolic terms. Provide specific information whenever possible.
