b) [OH-] = 8.91 x 10-6 M
c) [CaOH2] = 0.0034 M
d) [HNO3] = 6.98 x 10
-9 M
2. Calculate the pH of a buffer made from 3.00 g of succinic acid and 3.50 g of sodium
succinate dissolved to a volume of 1.00 L with DI water.
3. Explain in your own words why a buffer must be made from a conjugate acid/base pair.
