ASSIGNMENT PURPOSE
The purpose of this assignment is to explore the interpersonal communication competence of Aziz Ansari who is the star and head writer of Master of None, the television series we’ve been watching all quarter that revolves around Aziz Ansari’s character Dev and Dev’s relationship. In completing this assignment you will demonstrate what is required of a competent communicator and assess whether Aziz Ansari is one.
TASK
The task is simple; familiarize yourself with the sexual misconduct accusation against Aziz Ansari, the content of his book Modern Romance, and Aziz Ansari’s relationship with comedian Louis C.K. who has been accused multiple times of sexual misconduct. Answer the following two questions completely in any format you choose.
Based on what we know from news media and his performances/writing, is Aziz Ansari a competent interpersonal communicator?
Is it appropriate for me to continue to use Master of None as a text for this course given the allegations made against him?
