Success is the ultimate reward that prevails after a big battle of challenges. The key to success is compounded in hard work and determination that follows a well scheduled program of sacrifice. My biggest dream has been working in a field that specifically helps people realize their dreams. I chose this program in order to advance my skills as well as become a pillar of success to many in the community. At the end of the program, I hope to be one of the personalities in the community that offers human services to all people regardless of their background. I also believe that the program will help me empower and encourage others to pursue the course. Additionally, through the human services program I believe I will gain appropriate skills that will help me grow in my craft.
Academic Experience
Having graduated from Mercer University with a bachelors degree in Human Services, I have great professional dreams in the field of Human Resources. The art of dealing directly with people requires unique characteristics which I believe I have. I am a person with high intellectual curiosity and an unending desire to add more knowledge to what I know. I also have great capability to apply creativity and originality to seeking solutions to problems.
Research Experience
I completed my research experience during my tenure at Mercer University in 2016. All the projects I did were successful and opened a new leaf in my career that enhanced my overall perception of the task that waits in my career. Besides, the research was an eye opener that also allowed me to face the real situation of how the field of human services operates. The experience that I collected ensured that my goals and dreams of being in the long-term human services career were drawing closer to realization.
Work Experience
I am currently working in the human services department, a position I have held for the past four years. My main achievement in the past four years is the easiness that I have developed towards my role. I have become a crucial member in my workplace due to my extensive dedication. In addition to the knowledge and experience that I possess, I have also devoted significant time and resources to voluntary help the poor in the community. Since last year, I have been on the forefront organizing and overseeing volunteering sessions in my community. Through this initiative, most people from poor backgrounds have managed to survive.
Personal Qualities
One of the unique aspects that made me prefer Walden University is their diversity and the strength in their courses. Walden University has been on the forefront of advocating for equality and also been one of the few institutions that values originality. My future dreams are nurtured towards being an inspirational figure in the society and an individual that will be a point of reference to many. Thus, the only place that can help me fulfill my dreams is Walden. I also believe that the pandemic period has been a blessing in disguise. This is because, the program that I am applying will be taught via online platform which will also allow me to continue my regular work schedule as well as my school schedule. It is now becoming easier to perform every duty from home provided one puts all focus towards the ultimate goal. At the end of the program, I hope to be one of the human service officers in the community. I also believe that the program will help me empower and encourage others to pursue the course. Additionally, through the masters in Human Services program I believe I will gain appropriate skills that will help me grow and enhance my career.
